Up until I played this game, Final Fantasy XIII was my favorite game, and prior to that, XII was one of my favorites, so I had high hopes for X and later X-2. I had always been a huge fan of the final fantasy series, with the exception of Final Fantasy IX, which I just couldn't get into due to the weird, cartoonish graphics. What can I say about this game you haven't already heard? I first found this game in the early 2000's, when I picked up a PS2 at a pawn shop. Do however, give it a chance in any platform you feel comfortable playing, it's a unique experience and definitely worth your timeįinal Fantasy X/X-2. It's up to you to decide whether playing under these conditions is worth the advantages of the PC version, but I sadly can't recommend it in this state.

Even with the mods installed, the game would crash every 1 hour on average and if it wasn't because it autosaves every time you change locations, then I wouldn't even have bothered in finishing it.

And it also suffers from the same porting issues X did, if not even more. But the port is so unstable that the game will either crash often or show a green screen every time there is a rendered cutscene, making the usage of mods indispensable if you want to play the game.įFX-2 isn't so lucky, being the sequel to such highly regarded game is no easy task, and it honestly falls short in a lot of places, but it's very fun to play regardless. Admittedly the PC version has good things about it, mainly stuff that makes grinding basically non-existent and the gameplay experience a lot more dynamic, at least while comparing it to the original version. FFX, often considered a groundbreaking title and one of the best RPGs ever made, is undoubtedly also one of my favorite games of all time, sadly this port couldn't even begin to do it justice.
